I have a question, I play in ManiaPlanet server SRE 60 K. there is a track on which music is loaded, but only on Sundays , I cleared the cache, weekdays not loaded, why ? Even though I opened ports 2350 and 3450

server cache - regarding caching of skins, avatars etc. by the server it takes time depending on how the individual players have their own skins set up as well. if the player isn't using a locator file, then the PC uploads a copy of the skin very slowly over P2P. If that skin is large it takes a long time. If the connection is reset before the skin uploads, then the process has to start again. eventually they may be online long enough for the skin and avatar to upload.
that is why the game also relies on P2P. If other players already have the skin and avatar stored on their PC, you will receive fragments of the files from them as well as the server which speeds up the download process normally.
A crock of shit: buddie list not complete, server list is only 4 pages long, no mail tab, FAV tab gone, Skins won't load, rankings fucked, the list is endless.
Stadium now has crappy Turbo shiney tracks & shitty Turbo car sounds. Also after using a JS for 11 years it doesn't work now. A fucking disgraceful busted update from nadeo.
I tried it for an hour or so and only found one decent rounds server (Dirt World) running dirt maps that still worked properly. other multiplayer time attack servers had maps with huge holes in where blocks presumably were no longer valid. it made me wonder if they have changed the way block mixing works as well
the new textures look crap and too shiny and cartoon-ish. I could understand shiny road if it was raining but when there's no rain at all in maniaplanet it seems silly.
the car has more grip on dirt which makes the maps easier for beginners but ruins the fun a little for more experienced dirt players.
sounds - can't hear that much difference with engines but I have a custom engine which still works (a little better) anyway and drowns most the other cars out
the horns are quieter afaik when pressing the horn button but other players hear your own horn at normal level. they seem to have mixed it so you can still hear your own engine and environment music and sounds louder
when rounds maps finish there are no scores or leaderboards, just a black screen which disappears quickly and the next map appears. probably a server configuration issue for that
@Anty, I think that server tools like Xaseco are not compatible / not updated to MP4 yet (idem for Dedimania), hence the ugly server issue. It really looks like they haven't been testing their goddam update...
As far as I can see, road is not shiny in the SRE title, and road shininess can be reduced by reducing graphical options (I am not sure which one does the trick, but now the road doesn't shine anymore). That said, some blocks that were providing light at night don't, or provide less light, which makes some map quite dark tbh.
On the good side, most of the "shadow bugs" in the SRE title have disappeared (at least in local play). And that is a really good thing
And for the driving, I am mitigated. Physics have definitively changed (car jumps longer, but reaches lower speed and can turn better at high speed). I think I prefer the new physics, but it means that some of the previous maps have now a weird flow to it. I pity fullspeed and RPG mappers, because some of their maps are now completely broken...

I'm running a full system virus scan this morning using bootable media from Kaspersky for a second opinion scan which I do a couple of times a year. It appears MP4 has relocated my gamedata from the mechanical HDD to my SSD during the update. If you have a similar setup or multiple partitions anyhow and moved the gamedata previously like I have, check it is still saving where you want the data files.
I moved them because I don't want the game hammering the SSD with constant writes.
did a bit of testing on the current sre in the editor, made a simple speed map , the game def feels faster in the corners ,grips a hell of a lot more now, plus atm i can still use my colored road border mods . hate the standard nadeo one as it looks boring and shit .
i did notice one weird thing . if a tarmac block is placed flat on the grass , it kinda pokes through to be slightly visible . it also creates some sort of weird bobble when you go at any speed , whilst not a prob to actual handling it is def noticeable with the current pack , but its a strange quirk as it will disappear when returning to edit , with or without light calc . i know this is prob likely to change if and when sre gets a makeover for mp4 .
whilst most of this will prob not be an issue if sre gets updated i just thought i would chuck my tuppence in with what i notice on mapping fast speed maps . also the file structure had moved all internal folders around in the editor ...
i still think ray charles and stevie wonder were the beta testers for mp4..

Seriously, they've managed to piss off the entire stadium online multiplayer community, plus create a shitload of unnecessary work for guys kind enough to create maps, host servers and run tournaments.
Quite frankly MP4 sucks and I don't apologise for the language used in this post. It's categorically ruined the game for me and I'm not sure I can be arsed with it any longer. The UI is a complete dog's dinner. Finding favourite servers again is like searching for a needle in a haystack. The majority are offline because they are all needing work to convert from MP3 to MP4 as well.
I've tried playing different environments both offline and online. The car handling is now horrible, the textures are ugly as sin. All in all it puts me off wanting to bother at all in the main stadium title pack.
However, if you can get SRE blocks and tracks working as before then I am still interested in that. If you need testing help, please post as and when something is available.
As I see, the situation does not seem to improve in MP3 / MP4.
The old trackmania school, let us go back to TMU TMNF, there we know at least that there nothing is changed and everything works so far.
When the canyon was announced then it was clear to me that it would be the sinking of a large community. Today it is now clear that Maniaplanet / Nadeo has signed his own.

NRL and ROC will resume TM2 exactly where they were before the update as and when the guys have managed to get the servers up and running again in their limited spare time. Have patience please guys.

Depending on how far ahead you have built the stadium maps, what about a switch to TMUF to complete at least the Stadium Cup maps? I know this means no more SRE because the environment isn't available but it would at least provide some enjoyable race meets each weekend.
A large part of the Event Calendar has pretty much been screwed over because of these technical issues in MP4 so it would make sense to at least salvage something if possible.
would be nice but it isn't possible to do that. we'd all have to somehow downgrade the game to it and block further updates. I can't see how you can since it comes up with two options, update or exit the game.

Maybe try an alternative DNS server. e.g. Google DNS instead of your internet service providers.

SRE works (but classic multilayer button, the other one works, and servers can be found in Stadium servers list)
Server controller is ManaControl, it is stable and clear
But new
ROC works
Events works
In few days, NRL SLAND SRE, Stadium SRE 60k and HD 80k will be back.
