Thought I'd go there and post a desktop wallpaper images thread. After this initial one there may be more to follow but feel free to submit some of your own creations too. The logos in this one should be hidden by the taskbar when in normal size icon mode. If you use the smaller icons then the top half may be visible.

Which model has the dodgy engine? The Maniaplanet Mustang or the TMUF Fusion? I know the Maniaplanet car engine is rubbish, I'm thinking of putting the NRT Fusion sound in the Logano skin.

in fact all the recent stock cars except Kieselowski#2 load the files as revs increase normally until top gear revs out and a 'broken CD' effect begins.
Could be my end, sound is a jumble on this thing.

Nobody has complained about this on the trackmania-carpark website yet either but the quality of engine sounds for all models leaves a lot to be desired in TMU. Half of them sound like broken bagpipes (I include my own F1 sound in this one, still trying to work out how to get it working), old vacuum cleaners or dentist drills.
What sound settings are you using in the game launcher configuration options?
Also is sound messed up for anything other than TMU since you said it's a jumble?

If you don't have a high end soundcard plugged into a PCI-E slot and just use the onboard realtek audio codec then the settings below will suffice for TMUF:
Audio Device: Default
Quality: Low
EAX: Disabled
Doppler: Enabled
Allow Music to change while racing: Up to you, default is enabled
It really doesn't make an audible difference and makes the game run a little smoother.

For a quick attempt I think they look awesome! If I find the spare time to render out a decent one, I'll use the replay and attach skins to the cars that were missing one.
