That's my Wife's thoughts too. She has been growing jersey royal potatoes, leeks, onions, tomatoes, runner beans and carrots since we moved here. There's also an apple tree, a Victoria plum tree and some raspberry bushes. The plum tree should produce some fruit next year as it blossomed this year. I like Victoria plums, they are sweeter than the crud the supermarket cells from South Africa. Not sure what variety they are selling as I've never heard of it before but they taste more like rhubarb.
The apple tree appears to be inebriated. It's propped up at the moment because it started leaning dangerously, one too many ciders?
Haaa this remember me my grandfather's garden, when we harvested "sweet yellow plums" (if I'm not wrong with translator...) to make plum brandy
I got some bottles in the cellar, hummm sometimes it's sooo good with friends during the looong summer nights (~50°, covid is dead ! the guy too...)
And yes, this grandfather has a so big and beautiful garden
Warning, that car leaks "oil" on a regular basis ^^
