i see a few minutes, the sound is to mixed, i haven't ideas for create vids from game. but if it help.. for audio mixing they have many freeware, audio recording (No23recorder.exe)/ for audio mixing i use temporary Audacity-win.exe... i think other freeware with good funktions you will find in the WWW...

Exactly, the editor is too basic in game. I was just trying it to see what came out and I'm not overly impressed. I may try Blender for the video and add the music from Audacity (I use that for engine noise and horn creation)

and if you try it by 2 steps.. create ingame vdeo.. i know is not the best, but without sound, also mutet, then step 2 use video creator and add of the existing mutet video your music... i see per example the open broadcaster software try it all in one.. it can use for create not only stream online, they save too the vid and more..

Indeed Spock m8, that's probably how I'll do it next time or find a way to reduce the engine noise levels.

Blender looks like the most promising option right now. Although I might download a Linux editor that can handle more audio and video tracks and transfer the videos across to the network shared drive to edit. I have audacity on that system too.

"Blender for the video"? I do not understand, if that software is for 3D modeling ... Blender lets you put cameras, place yourself at different points of the race and so... or would you use it only for rendering?

PD: My method is to fight with the ingame editor and to capture the different clips with Dxtory or Fraps. Then I have to bring everything to a video editor and mix the cuts (ie: https://youtu.be/pG0H6GaaCU0). The ingame editor is very disgusting mostly for not being able to turn on and off your blocks (cameras, effects, etc.): You have to go creating them, capture the sequence, and replacing with a new one, etc. Frightful. When I reach what I enjoy (editing video and audio), I'm not in the mood.

Agree your comments on audio. Emissions regs hit bikes in the valve timings and fuel/air mix then a catalyzer before the exhaust pulse even gets to the silencer. Euro4 coming soon

Yeah, the driver was in his 70s in a vintage car that wasn't safe enough to push harder than he did for demonstration runs like that. That road is pretty unforgiving at full speed. Maybe on a race track he would. I've seen many a car come down to the finish on 3 wheels over the years.
